SUSTAINABLE APPAREL COALITION

TAL Apparel is one of the original members of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), an influential industry group that seeks to address the environmental and social impacts of the garment and footwear industry. They do this by using the Higg Index, a suite of tools that assesses sustainability impact by measuring not only the product itself but also who designs, sells (brands and retailers) and produces it (manufacturers).

As an active member of SAC, TAL Apparel participates in different SAC working groups and fully applies the Higg Index to its own management systems.

Social & Labor Convergence

TAL Apparel has been one of the initial members of the Social Labour Convergence Program since it was started in 2016. We believe and support the goal of creating a single assessment framework that would replace duplicative audits in the industry and moving the efforts from auditing to the improvement of the factory practice. Our participation provides input and viewpoint from the manufacturer's perspective that would help the factories in adopting the tool. TAL is one of the signatories that applied verified self-assessment for Social Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) 1.3 when it was first launched.
